Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his role in the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began in his early college days. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. His characters in television have earned him plenty of attention. There is no doubt that the actor has managed to grab audiences' attention by playing characters on both side of the law. On his debut TV show, he played the part of a murderer. He then went on to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. Numerous times, he was nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. He is known by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into a signature and helped in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
